<COCK> is a stool designed with tusks symbolizing walruses.

It resembles the bright and cheerful smiles of small and cute cubs.

It's warm and comfortable.

But, here the tragedy and uncomfortable truth of walruses are hidden.

A walrus that has been hunted for its tusks which is a result of repeated evolution and degeneration to survive.

A walrus that has lost its habitat due to global warming and is in danger of extinction.

It's pitiable and apologetic.

In this same situation, contradictory emotions collide.

This collide is not easily resolved. No, it may not be resolved at all.

This is the Grotesque.

<콕>은 바다코끼리를 상징하는 엄니로 디자인된 스툴이다.

이것은 조그맣고 귀여운 아기들의 밝고 명랑한 웃음을 닮아 있다.

따스하고 편안하다.

그러나 여기에는 바다코끼리의 비극과 불편한 진실이 숨겨져 있다.

살아남기 위하여 진화와 퇴화를 반복한 결과인 엄니 때문에 사냥감이 된 바다코끼리.

인간의 개발욕망이 부른 지구온난화로 서식지를 잃고 멸종위기에 놓인 바다코끼리.

안쓰럽고 미안하다.

이와 같이 동일한 상황에서 모순된 감정이 충돌한다.

이는 쉽게 해소되지 않는다. 아니 전혀 해소되지 않을 수도 있다.

이것이 그로테스크이다.
