<AGARE> is the first work of the full-fledged Grotesque series.

It was only through this work that the scope of awareness of Grotesque was expanded.

It was able to deviate from the perspective that Grotesque is perceived only in shock, fear, or deformed appearance.

The images in the mouth of animals and monsters are full of Grotesque appearance.

How about designing the appearance using the softness and beauty of the curve as much as possible?

The vague fear and anxiety of the Grotesque appearance.

Friendliness and comfort felt by the inherent soft image of trees and curves.

These contradictory feelings are conflicted and collided.

Nevertheless, the conflict of emotions already contains the possibility of resolving and overcoming it.

This is also an aspect of Grotesque.

<아가리>는 본격적인 그로테스크 시리즈의 첫 작품이다.

이 작품을 통해서 비로소 그로테스크에 대한 인식의 범위가 확장되었다.

그로테스크를 충격과 공포 또는 기형적인 형태로만 인식하였던 시각에서 벗어날 수 있었다.

동물이나 괴물의 입속의 모습은 그로테스크한 형태로 가득하다.

그 형태를 곡선의 부드러움과 아름다움을 최대한 활용하여 디자인하면 어떨까?

그로테스크한 형태로 인하여 느껴지는 막연한 두려움과 불안감.

나무와 곡선의 부드러운 이미지로 인하여 느껴지는 친근함과 안락함.

이와 같이 서로 모순된 감정은 대립하고 충돌한다.

그럼에도 불구하고 감정의 충돌은 그 내면에 이미 해소와 극복의 가능성을 담고 있다.

이 또한 그로테스크한 측면이다.
